MARENA® COMFORTWEAR™ WASHING INSTRUCTIONS

Marena passionately works to bring you the most comfortable patient compression garment available today. To preserve the special qualities of your Marena Comfortwear™ garment and its proprietary Comfortweave™ fabric, follow these laundering instructions:

1. Hand wash in cool or cold water using mild detergent. To minimize blood stains, wash as soon as possible.
2. Line or air-dry. DO NOT dry clean.
3. DO NOT USE hot or warm water, drying heat, bleach, stain removers or fabric softener – these will harm the stretch and moisture handling properties of this fabric.

Marena’s Comfortwear™ is the longest lasting garment on the market under extended wear and washings. However, any elastic fabric, even Comfortweave ™, can lose some of its important properties as it is washed. Therefore, most patients find it to be a good idea to keep TWO Comfortweave™ garments on hand. They can wear one of their prescribed post-operative compression garments while they carefully wash the soiled garment. This is commonly called “One to wear and one to wash.”

SPECIAL REMINDER

Be sure to follow Marena’s washing instructions and NEVER use chlorine bleach, hot water or fabric softener.

All garments have an “open weave” fabric, similar to stockings. Please handle them with care as they may ladder or run if snagged on fingernails or jewellery. Please ensure you put on and take off the garments as directed by your Fitting Consultant.
